For a viewing or wake
Give the florist the first public viewing time, not only the funeral time. The funeral home may need the flowers earlier for setup.
For a funeral or memorial service
Provide the service start time and venue. Ask the destination whether it has a receiving deadline, especially for churches, synagogues, event spaces, and cemeteries.
For the family home
A home arrangement can arrive before the service or in the following days. Confirm that someone can receive it and include a working recipient phone number.
For same-day delivery
Order as early as possible. Same-day eligibility does not guarantee arrival before a service unless the florist confirms the service time and delivery window.
If the service information changes
Contact the florist immediately. Do not assume the funeral home will forward flowers to another venue or the family home.
