Read the obituary or memorial notice before ordering. If it requests donations or gives specific flower instructions, follow those directions.
Match the design to the destination
Standing sprays, wreaths, hearts, crosses, and funeral baskets are made for services. Vase arrangements, plants, meals, and personal notes are easier to receive at home.
For an approved service display
Compare a basket with a standing tribute only after the family welcomes service flowers. A standing spray needs its own floor and easel space; neither choice implies onward delivery to the home.
Give the florist complete service details
Provide the deceased person’s name, the destination’s full address, the viewing or service time, and a phone number. A delivery marked only with the family surname can be hard to place correctly.
Keep the card message simple
A short, sincere message is enough. Sign every sender name clearly, especially when the order comes from a workplace, team, or large family.
Order early when possible
Formal pieces require design time and timed delivery. Same-day service can be possible, but availability depends on the destination, product, time, and florist network.
