Funeral flower buying guide
Westchester funeral flowers: venue, cemetery, or family home
For a Westchester funeral, order to the venue address on the notice, not the family's home or your billing ZIP. Then confirm receiving rules before you pay.

A service tribute or home gift
Follow family wishes and the actual venue's rules. Standing Spray is not same-day eligible. Serene Bouquet lists lilies: do not choose it for a home with cats or assume it is pet-safe.

Compare service pieces: Confirm the venue's receiving rules, the family's wishes and any cemetery rules before choosing a size or symbol. Compare this group.
Compare welcomed home gifts: For the family's home after the service, and only when flowers are welcome. Serene Bouquet lists white lilies. White Orchid is a living plant that needs ongoing care. Compare this group.
Check the selected product, delivery ZIP and available date before ordering. Availability and timing require confirmation; arrival before a service is not guaranteed by an available delivery day.

For a funeral or viewing in Westchester County, order to the street address on the notice for the place where the flowers will be seen, whether that is a funeral home, a church, or a cemetery. The family’s home town, your own billing ZIP, and a funeral home’s name are not reliable substitutes for that address. Confirm the receiving rules with the venue before you choose a size.
Decide where the flowers will go first
Three different decisions are often mixed together: flowers for a viewing or service, flowers for a cemetery, and a gift for the family’s home after the service. Each may need a different address, product, and receiving plan.
Browse the Westchester County funeral flower page to compare destinations, then check the notice for the exact venue. A notice may name one business as the arranger while the service takes place at a church or another location. Send the flowers to the gathering the family asked you to support.
Funeral home, church, or viewing
Service pieces such as a standing spray or a cross usually belong at the viewing or service. Options to compare include White Standing Spray, Faithful Cross, and Eternal Light Cross Arrangement. Choose the one the family’s wishes support.
Before paying, ask the venue:
- Will you accept flowers for this service, and on which day?
- Who receives them, and during what window?
- Is there a reserved place for flowers, and are there size limits in the room?
- Are there rules about containers, religious symbols, or placement?
Ask about the receiving window, not only when guests arrive. If the venue cannot accept flowers on the day you need, ask whether another arrangement works, or choose a different gift before paying.
Cemetery graveside
Cemetery rules control graveside flowers, and they can differ from the funeral home’s rules. Dignity Memorial’s guide to gravesite flowers notes that memorial parks with flat markers often limit flowers to small vases set flush with the ground, while cemeteries that allow upright markers may allow larger arrangements. The same guide advises checking with the cemetery before a first delivery and notes that cemeteries remove items from graves at set times of the year.
Before you order for a cemetery, call the office and ask:
- Does a delivery go to the office or to the grave, and will staff place it?
- Which containers are allowed, and is a vase provided?
- When are items removed?
Do not order a standing spray for a flat-marker section until the cemetery has answered these questions.
Family home after the service
A home gift goes to the family’s address, not the venue, and only if the family welcomes flowers at home. A vase arrangement such as Gentle Embrace suits many family homes. Serene Bouquet is described for the home or a service and includes white lilies, so check whether lilies are a concern. A living White Orchid needs ongoing care; choose it only when the family welcomes that responsibility.
How Westchester towns change the order
Westchester has many municipalities, and their names do not always match mailing addresses. Use the venue’s street address and ZIP from the notice, then check the local detail that applies.
- Pelham and Pelham Manor. The Town of Pelham states that two villages were incorporated within the Town: Pelham Manor and Pelham. Similar place names can point to different destinations, so read the Pelham address guide before entering a ZIP, then browse Pelham funeral flower destinations.
- Larchmont and Mamaroneck. The Town of Mamaroneck includes the entire Village of Larchmont, an unincorporated area, and part of the Village of Mamaroneck. Those boundaries do not tell you the right ZIP for a particular venue. See the Larchmont and Mamaroneck address guide.
- Cities with their own pages. Yonkers, New Rochelle, White Plains, Peekskill, Mount Vernon, Scarsdale, Ossining, and Thornwood each have a destination page, such as Yonkers and New Rochelle. Our Yonkers records use several ZIP codes, so the ZIP on the notice matters more than the city name.
- Shared buildings. Some listed addresses are shared by more than one business. Confirm which business is handling the service and which name the venue expects on the delivery.
- Listings to verify. Some addresses in the directory have not been confirmed against the business’s own website. Check the venue directly before ordering.
Rockland is a different county. A service in Rockland County needs its own destination page, Rockland County.
When the service is in a different town
Order for the service venue, not the family’s home. If the family lives in one town and the service is in another, make two decisions: a tribute for the venue now, and a separate home gift later if it is welcome. Keep them as separate orders, each with its own address and date.
If you are ordering from outside New York, enter the venue’s ZIP rather than your own, and include the full name used on the notice. If the notice is unclear about the venue, ask the family or the funeral home to confirm it before you order.
Confirm before you pay
Bloom Lane is independent of the funeral homes and cemeteries in the directory. The venue remains the source for service arrangements and receiving instructions. Delivery is included in the product price on every order; applicable tax is extra. At checkout, check the product size, the ZIP, the requested date, and the complete total.
Questions about sending funeral flowers in Westchester
Should I send funeral flowers to the family’s town or the service venue?
Send them to the service venue. The family’s town can help you find the right area, but the venue’s street address and ZIP decide where the flowers should go. A gift for the family’s home is a separate order.
Can I order cemetery flowers without calling first?
It is better not to. Cemetery rules on vases, placement, and removal vary, and Dignity Memorial recommends checking ahead before a first delivery. Call the cemetery office before you choose a size.
What if I live outside New York?
Enter the venue’s ZIP and include the full name used on the notice. Do not use your own billing ZIP to check delivery. Confirm the receiving window with the venue before you choose a date.
