Choose early, then check the date
Noon is the recipient-local same-day cutoff, not a holiday arrival-time promise.
Designs to order for February 14: These designs are eligible for same-day delivery in our catalog. Confirm the delivery day and window for the recipient's ZIP at checkout, because same-day depends on the time of order. Compare this group.
Check the selected product, delivery ZIP and available date before ordering. Availability and timing require confirmation; a requested arrival time or occasion deadline is not guaranteed by an available delivery day.

Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest weeks of the year for flowers. In the National Retail Federation’s January 2026 survey, 41% of consumers said they planned to buy flowers for the holiday, which put flowers among the most common gifts. The most avoidable mistake is leaving the order until the same morning. A little planning gives you a clear delivery day and a fallback if the day does not go as expected.
Pick the date first
Decide which day you want the flowers to arrive, then check that date at checkout for the recipient’s ZIP. Checkout shows the delivery day and window for your order.
Once you have a date in mind, compare First Dance Bouquet or Classic Roses by the selected design and size. Confirm the options offered for the recipient’s ZIP and date before ordering.
A general delivery message is not a guarantee of an arrival time on February 14. Rely on the checkout confirmation, not on the holiday itself.
How the same-day cutoff works
Same-day orders close at 12:00 PM in the recipient’s local time, not yours. If you are in California sending to New York, the cutoff is 9:00 AM Pacific. After noon in the recipient’s time zone, checkout offers another date instead of same-day.
Check the time zone before you order if the recipient lives somewhere else. It is easy to miss the cutoff by an hour or more.
Plan a fallback
If the same-day cutoff has passed, or the recipient’s schedule is uncertain, order for the day before. The card can still be written for the holiday itself, for example: “Happy Valentine’s Day. I wanted these to be waiting for you.” If flowers are not the right gift for that day, agree on an alternative in advance, such as dinner or a handwritten note.
What is included
Free delivery is included on every order. Required service and handling are included in the product price. Applicable tax is additional. No separate delivery fee is added at checkout.
A simple timeline
- Two weeks ahead: choose the design, and check whether flowers are welcome at home or at work.
- The week before: confirm the address, the delivery day and the card wording at checkout.
- Valentine’s Day morning: if you are ordering for same-day delivery, order before noon in the recipient’s time zone.
Check the selected product and size on its page before you order. Photos show one arrangement, and the flowers can vary slightly from the picture.
